The Irish-American Club of Tulsa is a non-profit organization founded in 1977 by Tom Hinchey and Peter Byrne. The purpose of the club is to promote Irish culture and tradition not only in the Tulsa area but throughout Oklahoma and surrounding states.

The Club holds traditional Irish dances, sponsors a traditional band and dance group, and sponsors Celtic concerts. Its biggest function was the "Wearin' of the Green Irish Festival" held once a year around St. Patrick's Day. The Festival has been discontinued. The Club has hosted a visit by the then President of Ireland, Mary Robinson. The club has brought international talent to Tulsa, such as Tommy Sands (Belfast) and Robbie O'Connell (Tipperary). The club also sponsors trips to Ireland.

The club holds monthly meetings except for July and August. Membership in the club is just $15.00 per year, and entitles the member to newsletters, monthly get-togethers, and lots of great fun. Free Irish Ceili Dance Lessons. Every Mon (except June, July & August) 7pm to 8:30pm	McClure Park, Tulsa	The Irish Club teaches Irish Ceili Dancing. It's free! Learn Irish Ceili Dancing or just come and watch and enjoy. 7440 E. 7th St. (between Memorial & Sheridan) Tulsa Everyone is welcome.
